the birth of a cow....

 Here is how my cow is coming along....

It's really fun for me to see how she takes on her personality with each stage. 

This cow is bigger than the previous (24x24) but you can see they are still related...ha.  I love the big nose and how at the end it will pop off the canvas.  And the sly looks she gives you. I turn on some music and watch her come to life.  My style of painting starts with a reference but then it's all a "feeling" that comes over me as I paint...not much planning involved except I have an idea of what I want to create.  They say that it is bad not to "plan" but hey that's just me. 

She's not finished yet and I will post the final painting when it happens.
